Matt and Ashley had their wedding reception in Kansas City so we headed out for the weekend. We left Thursday night and drove a few hours just to get a start. The kids think it's great to stay in a hotel. Grandma and Grandpa Lee met up with us in the morning and we made the rest of the trip together. We got to Kansas City Friday night and went to Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue. Saturday morning we helped set up for the reception and took the kids swimming at the hotel. The reception was very nice and the kids had fun with their cousins Hunter and Colden. We got up Sunday morning and drove home. It was a short trip but well worth it.

4th of July

I love the fourth! For the past few years we have been taking the kids to Town Center in the morning for activities. In the afternoon we head over to "the cousins" house for a BBQ and fireworks and back to Town Center for the big firework show.
We are so blessed to live in this great country!
