Fun Run

Rebecca's school had a Fun Run today. The kinderagrten classes were out there for 45 minutes and Rebecca ran 12 laps around the field...that is 4 miles! This was a fundraiser for the school so they were asked to get pledges for each lap they ran. The flyer that came home said that the kindies could be expected to run about 6 laps so we were suprised that Rebecca did 12! Way to go Becca! She was so excited that when she came home she called her Grandma Waldron to tell her. Then she insisted on telling everyone else at the Waldron house so she told Grandpa, then Hillary and told Brad her exciting news as well.

Tonight Nate took Rebecca to her tumbling class. While I got dinner cleaned up Ben and Katelyn had dessert in the backyard. They were talking and laughing so hard that I had to get my camera to capture the moment. It so fun to watch these two play and grow together. I can't believe that they are now 3 1/2 years old. Like any kids, Katelyn and Ben always want to go to the park and it's fun to watch them help each other out. Ben has been extra protective lately of his sister. If she is crying or needs help he is always there to find out what is wrong and says, "That's my sister"! In other words leave her alone!

Katelyn is very good at pushing Benjamin on the swing. What a good sister!

Having a laugh while eating ice cream on the back porch...life doesn't get much better than this.

Just like Daddy

If a picture paints a thousand words...

Benjamin wants to be just like his Dad! He just got a new pair of shoes and that is all he wants to tell everyone about, well that and his basketball shorts. Before bed this is were Ben placed his new shoes. We found them later that night and had a good laugh. It's amazing how much he mimics his father. He'll stand in front of the mirror and fix his shirt like Dad does, rolls his carrots in the ranch like Dad, and if they are hanging out together he copys the way Nate is standing or sitting. Those little eyes are always watching and taking it all in.

Hike

We went for a short hike this morning. Nate was at an overnight scout training so we decided to get outdoors too. It was a beautiful day...we are ready for spring! Bring it on! The kids had fun exploring around a little pond, listening and watching for frogs. We saw lots of runners and bikers on the trail. At the end of the hike a man with no shirt jogged by and Ben yelled "That man is naked "! Anyone without a shirt is naked according to Katelyn and Ben. My silly kids always can give me a good laugh.

Swim Lessons

Ben and Katelyn started their first swimming lessons today! Katelyn doesn't want to get her face wet and Ben wants to keep his feet on the bottom of the pool while swimming :-)
